Olivia & Chris’s Modern & Classic Wedding

This is a post to appreciate a past wedding from 2021 that I shot!

It was an incredible experience to be able to capture the beauty of this modern winter wedding after the pandemic. Which for a lot of people, was such a hard time. Coming to their wedding was like a breath of fresh air, and I’ll always get to cherish it for that and many other reasons. It was evident that the couple was in love. You could see just how strong their love connection was during their first look. The moment Chris turned around to see his bride, tears filled his eyes as he was in shock at how beautiful his bride was.

Not only did I have the privilege of capturing all of the special moments, but I also had the pleasure of taking in all of the beauty that surrounded them throughout their day. It truly was unforgettable!

The Highlands Chapel at Howe Farms near Chattanooga TN

Chris and Olivia were both such a joy to work with and I hope you enjoy their January wedding held at one of the many beautiful venues at Howe Farms. This venue is called The Highlands Chapel.

Olivia and Chris chose very elegant and very simple decor. They chose to go with a more modern winter wedding style using neutrals such as champaign, black, and white as their primary colors.

The florist did an amazing job creating floral installations that sat in the chapel at the front of the altar. They were so unique! At the altar, two main floral installations were completely dried florals! It was so neat! Olivia’s wedding bouquet was a mix of orchids and roses, which was something that I’d never seen! Something that stood out to me was when Olivia brought out a beautiful mink coat and asked me to take photographs of it, of course, I said yes. She explained to me that the coat was the same coat her late mother wore on her wedding day. It was such a beautiful moment.

Moments like that remind me why I’m so blessed I get to do what I do for a living.
