My name is Mariah Phillips and I live in Knoxville, Tennessee. I found my passion for photography at a young age and had no idea what the possibilities were with it. It all started when my grandmother let me use an old camera that she would take on trips. I began experimenting with it and fell in love instantly, fast forward decades later and here we are!
After studying journalism in college, I was lucky enough to get my first full-time job out of school as a TV News Reporter in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I spent most of my time doing that while photographing families and weddings on the side.
While in the news industry, I gained a lot of experience and met some fantastic people, but knew it wasn’t where I was meant to be.
In April 2020 I was fortunate enough to quit my full-time job in the corporate world and live out my dream as a professional wedding photographer in Knoxville, TN. Traveling around the South-East, I adore and cherish every moment I get to spend with my couples. It is TRULY an honor.
For me, photography is an incredibly personal endeavor. Each wedding is an opportunity to tell the story of a couple's love, and I believe that’s something that every couple has in common. As a Wedding Photographer, it’s my goal to create images that are unfailingly authentic, timeless, and incredibly beautiful.
There isn’t a moment in my life where I wish I would have done anything differently. I say this because I am right where I’m supposed to be.
Feel free to reach out to me if it’s to chat about the wedding you’re working so hard to plan, or even if it’s to say hello!
